While we recognize that everyone who works with us is an individual with their own needs and desires, it is true that they are united by common values. They are the individuals in the offices or on the ships who arrive on the scene inspired, spread the smiles and ultimately bring the world’s only authentic boutique cruise line to life. We see the people who work with us at Uniworld as much more than employees.

Slowly drifting along the Nile on a felucca, a traditional wooden sailing boat, is a quintessential Egyptian experience. A reminder that humanity exists everywhere and for the most part we’re all just hoping to find some time to watch the sun go to sleep in the evening, from Melbourne to Cairo and everywhere in between. Sarah aims to both diffuse and enrich views of culture and society often overwhelmingly shrouded in negativity from outside eyes, and her soft and human gaze does so. A quiet moment shared with golden light in a hotel, an interaction across waters from a felucca and a lonely street of Luxor, the Pharoah’s capital. A collection of moments between the obvious, Sarah’s eye is attuned to the beauty and humanity within a kind synchronicity found in frames of people and their landscapes. The following photographs are from this time spent exploring along the River Nile in March 2018. A winning pitch to the British Journal of Photography sent Sarah to Egypt to document the sliding state of tourism in the historic land. She has been commissioned to make photographs all over the world and throughout Australia. With a bevvy of exhibitions and shows Sarah is an advocate of print, having produced and self-published a book Sehir (2014), a visual study of the dynamic central neighbourhoods of Istanbul and is working on another book from her journeys in Iran. This fascination with humans ever-evolving dance with their surrounding environments has led her on adventures through Iran, Hong Kong, Egypt and across Europe.
